Active Transport ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Account info: Email address and hashed password when you sign up.
Uploaded content: Text and PDFs you upload to generate questions, cards, or summaries.
Usage data: Counts of questions generated, features used, and basic analytics (page views, referrers).
Payment data: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.

How We Use It

To provide the Service (sending your content to AI providers to generate output).
To enforce free-tier usage limits and process subscriptions.
To improve quality (e.g., the community QBank stores top-rated questions in anonymized form).
To send service-related emails (account, billing, security).

Third-Party Services

We use the following processors:

OpenAI — to generate questions, cards, summaries. Uploaded content is sent to OpenAI's API. OpenAI does not train on API data.
Stripe — for payment processing.
Render — for hosting and database storage.
Analytics — privacy-friendly analytics (e.g., Plausible) for aggregate usage stats.

What We Don't Do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your uploaded content with other users.
We do not use your content to train our own AI models.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Uploaded content is processed and may be cached briefly to deliver results; we do not maintain a long-term archive of your raw uploads. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing us.

Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. Email support@activetransport.app to exercise these rights.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions and optional analytics cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser.

Children

The Service is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
